A THIN LINE

A thin line splits good from evil
between grace and the disgrace
between being the apple of God's eye
or ab ally of the devil.

It’s not etched in stones or scrolls
but marked in choices we make
blurred by thoughts we justify
and truths we’re too afraid to face.

We dress our sins in silence
and wear our virtues out loud
forgetting that heaven listens
more to hearts than to crowds.

So we walk this fragile border
stumbling between light and flame
hoping mercy weighs heavier
when judgment calls our name.
