Our God showers His children with wonderful gifts. Yes, sometimes we go
through tremendous trials but, even they are a gift from Him when they bring
about a good and great changes in us. But, our God's heart hurts when His
children are thankless. If He never did anything more for us than sending
Christ to die on the tree so that we could spend eternity with Him, that in
itself should suffice.
A Thankful Heart
A thankful heart is a precious gift
to our Heavenly Father above,
giving thanks in all things unto Him
but especially for His great love.
For all good and perfect gifts the Word says
come from the Father of Lights,
and the Father’s eyes are upon the thankful child
for they are truly His delight.
But our thanklessness hurts His heart so
the One Who loves us so dear;
it robs us of His blessings and His voice
and causes us to fear.
And then, as we choose to turn our face
upon our Lord above,
giving thanks again and praises
He begins to fill us with His Love.
We will see His blessings begin to flow
like rain upon a parched ground,
with our hands upraised, and His name we praise
His Glory returns to reign all around.
