The water gleams blue-silver on a sunlit day Cruising Lake Shore Drive, you can taste the spray of the waves rolling in on windswept wings Cast your net in the bay; catch a trout; you're a king

Hello Gershon … there's nowhere like home and having local knowledge. I have seen on tv some fish apart from trout in the lakes that are very big indeed - thanks Gershon - Lindsay

In Mexico, I think they call it 'loco knowledge.' Crazy, man! Thanks, Lindsay! :) gw

Having lived one block from the Lake, this brought back memories...seeing Lake Michigan in all seasons each dawn was quite memorable. Great couplets Panagiota xx

Nothing like Chicago's lakefront in any urban area in the Midwest, methinks. Just writing about it actually brings memories back to me (the writer). Thanks for such a nice, inspiring comment, Panagiota. Take good care, Gershon

My daughter lives in Indiana and travels to Chicago quite often on business. She particularly loves the food. I was right there on the dock fishing with you. Great imagery!

Usually I catch cold (in the Fall) or heatstroke (in the summer). So thanks for helping me catch that trout, Joe. Cheers, Gershon

I used to live there, and had forgotten how beautiful that drive is; but now BAM here it is!

Yeah, the Drive really sparkles on a sunny, pleasant Spring, Summer of Autumn day… Then again, there's winter: Boo! (LSD, covered with blowing and drifting snow and ice, often has to be closed! ) ~ gw

I've never been to Chicago, but it's one of my top 3 places in the world I wish to visit. Thanks for the tour, GW!

I recommend the Lakefront as perhaps the highlight of your trip. Much to see and do there. And often the weather is pleasant there. Thanks for the comment, John!
