Notes About The Poem

a taste for peace

receding like the tide
subtle and graceful
time etches in memory
while back on the shore
voices at a distance
are the mere background noise
of a life i left behind
and i feel complete

I wasnt familar with the word but your wonderful poem clearly defines it for me. We all need times of solitude.

Eremitism, a word not familiar to me... one that I fully understand. Your poem is so serene, spawning a bit of wishful thinking. I really like this one Line

Absolutely, Jan. We can definitely use some of that and if that doesn't work... a good stiff drink.
