A Tale of Wonder
Hush little baby and please don't cry
I will tell you of a wonder and not another
lullaby, of three Wisemen that through a
dessert came to a place where another
baby laid, called the King.
Through the day they traveled upon camels
in hues, colors of red, yellow and blue
and at night followed a bright star that closer
to the baby King, them it drew.
A small but sacred place he did stay, with animals
and a small manger filled with hay, a small baby
in swaddling clothes he did lay and was
kept safe, and warm both night and day.
They blessed the baby these three Wisemen did
and brought to him gifts of magnificents .
To a boy this baby grew and told stories of God
and a heaven so true.
Travel he did for years to come and then one day
the father to the son, called him home. Tears of fear
and sorrow did rain, and then tears of joy when all
heard he would come again.
So hush now baby and please don't cry, for the King
of heaven holds you always safe by his side. As I kiss you
upon your face, may you always be filled with praise for
the lord and be blessed by, His amazing grace.
