A Tale of Two Snows

It was the best of snows
It was the worst of snows

     The best for packing
        The worst for getting hit

     The best for sliding
The worst on which to slip

      The best for watching fall
          The worst to drive in

The best for warming by the fire
          The worst to nosedive in

The best for who’s never seen it before
The worst for who can’t take it anymore

Ugh, your last line is for my husband and myself. Kids sure love the snow, snowmen, icicles to lick, snowballs to throw, but they don't have to shovel it and clean it off the car... I will confess at 60 I did attempt to make a 1/2 a snowman with the neighbor's children the other day until blue hands and a little back pain began. Your last line made me laugh :)

What a creative/fun write you have here. I enjoyed reading. I did 2 buses in the snow/ice when I worked and then walked for like ever to get to the door to get into work. Could Not feel by feet until noon. Yes, I had heavy socks and snow boots. Stay warm as you go writing away.............

Hi Gershon not having lived in snow except when I was ,5 and ,6 year old in England in a little town in Somerset call Norton Fitz Warren I have no great experience. And even that was seen through the eyes of a child but your good snow sounds good if I was visiting your region as I would like to see heavy snow, although it can be bothersome I bet. I love your comparison and can only imagine how true it is Hugs Jennifer.

Love it! Apt for all of this snow season. Love the imagery of “the worst to nosedive in,” and the truth in final lines.
