A Tale of Daring and Bravery

Eating a bowl of red jello
    a friendly alligator said hello

  Sociable me greeted him back
    not desiring a 'gator attack

  Came across an amiable bear
asked me if I'd brush his hair

Trembling scared, I took the dare
    mouthing a secret, silent prayer

Met up with a smiley lion
offered me a drink of his wine

I didn't refuse this chance to defuse
    a meet-up I could only lose...

All this happened in our new, 'interactive' zoo
~ which I'd vote to defund, if I were you

Nisht. But the zoo does have a PETOP section: Pets for the Ethical Treatment of People.
