A Symphony In the Night

I listen to the thunder
As the lightening fills the sky’s
The smell of rain is in the air
The thunder amplifies

Raindrops begin to hit the ground
Raising little puffs of dust
Then grows with much intensity
The tree’s bending by the gust

The rain is like a symphony
So beautifully performed
By an Orchestra in the night
The pitch perfect storm

It starts out so soft and low
And then the thunder booms
The lightening flashes all about
The thunder shakes my room

As quick as the storm arrived
Suddenly it’s gone
Somehow I feel kind of sad
It left me all alone
