A Strong Womans Rebirth
She loved him from the moment they met
His arms ‘round her, the passion felt
She welcomed his love with no regret
With every kiss, her heart would melt!
The years flew by, and life evolved
He began to change, she knew not why
She vowed his problems could be solved
He promised to change, he would try...
But when bruises came with abuse
She sheltered her children from harm
Then came the day her mind let loose
From deep within her soul, the alarm…
She had struggled thru most of her life
Under the hammer of low esteem
Trying her best to be the good wife
A new existence, hers to redeem!
The children gone, she bid him farewell
There lay before her an open book
From the pages left, her heart would swell
Going forward without a backward look
To the chapter that was a living hell.
