A Story For Children

There is a little red train
Rolling down the line
Little red train
I wish that you were mine
You're taking all the toys
and the girls and boys
On a trip to toyland tonight .

There will be trains and planes
Buses and motor cars
Dolls and prams
Jelly babies from the jar
They'll all come alive
When the clock strikes one
They'll keep on playing
Until the night is done .

Dora the doll and Ted the teddy bear
and a beautiful baby in her big high chair
and they'll all come alive
When the clock strikes one
and keep on playing
Until the night is done .

So go to sleep
All you girls and boys
Dream of the little train
and all those toys
For when you dream
Wishes can come true
and mommy and daddy
Will watch over you
Little red train
Rolling down the line
Little red train
I wish that you were mine.

this is a very sweet one. And it flows well too. So when she reads it aloud it will sound good to the ear. I used an old story in my files here about a raccoon. I sure hope she likes it.
