A Star Is Born

There is a sweet little girl whom i see each day, she wishes to be a star,I pray that she may! She has the jest, she has the power, She is the star, star of the next hour! She wishes to fly but she is shackled in school, But once she is out,I bet she will rule! she has a heart that wishes good for all, her songs remind me of the early morn bird's call! she has a dream, not short - far too long, she dreams to change the world with her song! she is so confident,so lively - so bold, ''but she cant decide her life'',her parents told! the wonderful girl who should be rocking the stage, is again in a school,I will call it a shackled cage! she has a pen, a copy and an elephant book, and she has to bear it all with a pleasant look! last night was a shakira's show, she must have cried, they think she is happy but she is dying inside! this star will be killed long before she shines, but I'll accuse the convicts in my rhymes and lines! Derasest parents, no doubt you love us, you have carried us in your lap, but you are not me and i am not you, between us is a generation gap! Our thoughts are different, dreams and ideals too, so how can you decide we will wear red or blue! Be a good dad,be a good mom, dont always talk of the performance, we need your support, your guidance and not your hinderance! Hundreds of your sons kill themselves every year, what more proof you need,is it not clear? we have a life, we are the teens, we have hopes, we have dreams!! and it was her right to dream, she dreamt of a star, but I am afraid they will kill her before she goes far!!
