A Spiritual One
Hindu, Muslim, Christian,
Buddhist, or Jew...
The beliefs seem omnipotent
To all but a few.
Tolerance appears absent,
Among those who dissent.
While dominance over others,
Allows each to resent.
History provides a record,
That can't be denied.
Though humanity hasn't listened,
As if it's petrified.
The spirit burdens love,
By a willingness to accept.
Where common ground is
Demanded, for all to respect.
Those to believe in this unity,
Favor power more than most.
As compromise won't linger on,
Firm adherence to a host.
Billions of souls throughout time,
Have shown we'll never see the same.
Towards those visions of God,
Since he goes by different names.
