A Special Marathon Runner

Last night, I awoke drenched in a cold sweat.. At the finish line, a lei placed around my neck. The cameras clicked, oh, how the crowd roared! The joy, rumbled to be once again, adored! I had ran hill and dale, to be at the top. Tired of wheelchairs, this just had to, stop. The winds of the Pacific, cooled my brow. The past was dead, the time to live was now! 12/27/2021 Panagiota Romios

Well, you have always been a champion to us...so, this only lends more credit it. Bet it did not seem this difficult when you or two or three. Wishing you continued strength and endurance. Two steps forward..one step back. Don't forget to also rest. Joe and Ila.

I agree Pangie. Anything you can conceive and believe in your mind, you can achieve. It's the believing part that is the greatest challenge. By the way, congrats on making it to 200 already. Wow! That's pushing it. Have a Happy New Year! Bill

Bill..you are the first to know...300 steps today. To most, it seems like nothing. I really know they do not have a clue as to what that takes. We cannot experience another's struggle. Thank you for being kind enough to comment, I am so worn out i cannot comment as I did when just being in bed. For now walking is primary. I do post. But why? If people don't comment. Pangie

Yee, indeed, I see myself at the finish line. Going from 4 steps to 200 is a quantum leap. One has to believe it is achievable before doing it. The piwer of the mind is amazing,Andrea! I appreciate your time and comment! Pangie xo

Elena, i just keep going and going. You are a great support.Without your love and constant coaching,, I do not know if I wuld have come this far. You see the tears that nobody here sees. I think of Madelyn who was cheering-me on till she passed on 12/7, i know She is pleased, too. I so appreciate you being in my life and the comment, Love, %Pangie xo

Hi Tom, Right on. In writing and walking, it takes a uniqueness to write when no comments show , Poets write because of the love of the art. I wont give up with quality friends in my life, long road ahead notwithstanding, Pangie thank you

Interesting how we come alive in our dreams... so nice to ditch the wheelchair... I myself run free too -- no more bad knee, bad back, bad feet, or cane... Sometimes I don't want to wake up though. Here's to escaping our fetters. Sweet Joy, Gershon

The healing process is far from painless. Bones and equipment inside take at least two months to walk pain-free But sure feels like winning a marathon. Being old enough to be your Nana, I am glad to be alive, Gershon as many my age, do not make it through a n extensive surgery! Longevity is a plus in my family as well. I hope to climb many mountains before people sit Shiva for my soul. Glad you are doing well. One day at a time! Thank you. Nana Pangie
