A Soul Awakened
Eyes locked on each other, in dreamlike state
Deciding to meet again, we did not hesitate
Time could not erase, even though we were apart
The promise to love forever made by the heart
Pulled into your embrace, it said so much
Enveloped in your arms, feeling your touch
Words weren't necessary, our hearts spoke
Powerful emotions in each other we did evoke
Your lips upon mine, a kiss beyond sweet
Laced with love, absence could not delete
Your unique scent, I breathe you in
Sensory overload now sent in tailspin
Tear flooded eyes, fighting for control
My missing piece, temporarily whole
Fingers linked, can`t hold back the tears
Losing each other we faced our worst fears
Soul now awakened, blissfully enlightened
Heart full of love, no longer frightened
Healing process complete, happily refined
Now in control of the heart, soul and mind
