A Song Sung To Her Dying Husband

I was on YouTube listening to the many artists that have sung Bob Dylon's song To Make You Feel My Love. I love listening to the different versions of it sung. When I saw an artist with a large following I never heard of. His name was Teddy Swims. He performs the song on his Podcast video under his name on Youtube. So if you go to YouTube and type in, Make you feel my love, Teddy Swims, you will hear the song and possibly see this comment that touched me deeply while I heard the song. I recommend listening to the song first and then reading Amanda Benson's comment after hearing the song by Teddy Swims. You have to hear the song before reading her comment below, or play the song while reading. This was so touching I had to share. After hearing the song To Make You Feel My Love, written by Bob Dylan, performed by Teddy Swims... Amanda Benson wrote this comment to Teddy Swims in the comment section. She wrote " My absolute favorite. Sang this to my husband as he passed in the ICU. Holding his hand, to his last breath. Thank you Teddy, I will always love you. Love Baby." Amanda, your loving words touched me so. As I read your comment, to the song below. Words from Make You Feel My Love, you sang. To your loving Husband, as his journey began. Such pain you felt, inside to hold. Will live forever, in this story told. Dedicated to Amanda's love for her late husband. Michael Tor

I've ALWAYS been a Dylan fan, Michael, and believe this is one of his best songs if not THE BEST song he ever wrote. Thanks for sharing the tribute to Amanda and her husband especially on or near the time of Connie's passing. Life is a gift. Savor and appreciate each and every moment.

What a fantastic love song this is, and the narrative you have woven around Amanda's comment is so poignant and touching, Michael, especially on the day we learned about Connie. What are the odds of your Poem A Rose and Her Thorns to be written just before her leaving us. Nothing happens by chance my friend. God is real and he is wonderful. I praise him when I think of him. Thank you Victor. The song he sang, "To Make You Feel My Love." She sang to her husband on his death bed. When you hear the song you can appreciate the words and realize what this dying man heard from his wife to him and dying shortly after hearing. Can you imagine the emotion in this Woman's heart as she sang this heartfelt love song to her dying husband and then having her husband die shortly after. I would not be able to imagine... Your welcome Harry. The song is a song written by Bob Dylan , which is a song of a dear love. Beautiful song. She sang this song to her soon to be deceased husband. In his death bed she mustered enough courage to sing this heartfelt piece to her dying husband. Those were the last words he heard from her as he succumbed. Words expressed by his loving wife of tendor love. I pictured her in the icu of the hospital alone with him singing and shortly watching him die. How tragic is that? Had me in tears after hearing the song and reading her comment. Wow Harry... What a courages woman.
