A Song On the Record Player

The music resonating from these 45’s sleep in my ears like the I love you’s and I miss you’s that you tell me everyday

That calm smooth jazz mixed with a funky bass and a little pop influence is something we could dance to even though we don’t really like to dance

The music entangled with your smile got me feeling some type of way and I can’t wait

My powder blue kissing your rose petal red with no words to be said

Because I am just going to jump into this moment with not a care in the world if the hook comes back around

As the bridge brings me back in I pull you a little closer

And when the weather is raining it doesn’t even matter if I can turn the volume up

So, tell me you love me, and you will never let go, because even though I have heard the same thing before I need to hear it from you

Knowing this time, it will be perfect until the needle touches the sky

But when the music stops our slow dance will continue

p.s. we don’t need a record player to keep our love playing…
