A Song of Expectation

no matter our great plight
   a never failing
     o  sovereign righteousnessness
an eternal presence here
to discern
       the path of life
bringing forth
               love
a covenant of new beginning
a changed heart

beauty
      free flowing
      an underlying cohesion
turning back
with hope
              in Him
                 who intervenes
waters
     with the dew of life
knowing Him
who blesses
       the loyalty of faithfulness

this reality
unity in ancestry
loving intimacy
               of a covenant of grace
a closer form 
of redemption
a divine intrusion
for sin
    recorded in heaven
a way back
 from obsessive ritualism
&reigion without morality
in care less complacency

judgement
    locusts fire&plumbline in hand
heralded
     a call to obey
the invitation
     to be forgiven
        by thr coming king

a new creation
    a restored people
         with eternal security
this
   prophetic judgement
in
   a
     message
           of
              grace
