For Silent One's Anacreontic Couplets Contest

Night lifted ebony shroud from smoky sky draped in cloud, gold shower sprinkled with flair, spread scarlet hue in the air. Luster lighted the meadow, pearls of dew dazzled to glow. Stream of love started to spurt as tuned torrent in my heart, sprayed silver sequins on me, my muse roamed in reverie on wings of cadence to fly beguiled in your starry sky. With longing words set anew, I composed a song for you.
