A Snow Day

There’s a blizzard outside
Wanna’ go for a ride?
With toboggans and sleighs
And drifts that amaze

So we bundle up tight
And head out with delight
The winds are so brisk
We evaluate the risk

After our ride
We head back inside
The hot chocolate’s now hot
We sip down a lot

There’s a blizzard outside
The winds howl and chide
“Stay by the fire,
And avoid my ire!”

Not a 'snow bird' myself, but you made the ride come alive.

Thanks Gershon, I thought the snow birds were those that fled the winter.
