A Sleeping Beauty
In the darkness
I look at you lying
Amidst the shadows
As if your dying
bathed in soft light
Lost in a dream
In another world
Or so it seems
A sleeping beauty
Captured in time
Just like snow white
In a nursery rhyme
The curve of your face
Calling my lips
Ache for my touch
With soft fingertips
Skin so smooth
Lips so sweet
Body so soft
Draped with a sheet
Locks of hair
Tease your face
Falling so soft
Like fairy lace
And in the light
your image glows
and then it fades
as my eyes close
