A Sky of Many Colors

~ A sky of many colors comes to greet me on this day Awash of nature’s palette is my early dawn display The heavens form a canvas as the brushstrokes create art Along a clear horizon when the morning comes to start Pastel painted swirls gather for the eye to see If only you could be right here and share this sight with me ~ I know what you are thinking, just another dumb sunrise poem from Chris’ pen. But, if you could see what I see out of my office window most mornings, you would understand

WoW! Chris, You painted such a beautiful scene with your word. It's a breathtaking sunrise. Your amazing pen caused me to see it too. I enjoyed the view, my friend. It's always good to see a poem from you. PS, I didn't realize that I already commented on this. Thanks for reposting this gem. Have a nice day-Alexis

I want you to know that this is a great poem -- your disclaimer totally unnecessary but its intention not unappreciated (!) And what makes t great -- in addition to the wonderful rhythm and flow - is that last stanza about your ache to share the beauty with a loved one. Your heart looms large, my friend! Thank you. A FAVE. Peace and Joy, Gershon

Chris, of course I would never think, just another dumb sunrise poem and this one sounds like a gorgeous one you saw, that inspires me to paint one. Beautifully written and I wish I was there to see it :)

Not dumb not boring, I don't think anyone can say they're tired of a beautiful sunrise or sunset, me I prefer sunsets,( I usually sleep in so I miss most sunrises) but the ones I have seen are just as beautiful, like your words!

Thank you my friend. Sometimes it just seems like the same old thing out of me, maybe I was just bored with me. :)

Not a 'dumb sunrise poem' Chris, quite the contrary - it is in itself a wonderful piece of art. A FAVE for me. Best as always...Ron :)

good morning! if every office had a view like that, there'd be less disgruntled workers ... no rising skies like that here but the sun setting yesterday razed the ashy clouds into glowing embers.. beautiful write Chris :)

imagine calling a staff meeting and as they stream into your office, there you are sitting with a halo glowing around you! You're missing a great opportunity to shine! :))

Thanks so much Susan. It sure does make the work day easier when the views are this beautiful. Happy you got to experience a wonderful sunset yesterday, both are works of art by nature. When I first came to work here the desk faced the other direction. I turned it around because I didn't like the back of my head being tinted apricot each morning. : )

WoW! Chris, I can only speak for myself, I enjoy your sunrise/ morning poems. They are so beautiful. Some folk never get to see "mornings" like you describe. So your "pen" cause your reader to view a wonderful morning. You allow us to see the morning through your eyes, and it looks amazing. I enjoyed the read my friend:-) Alexis

Thank you my friend. It seems we have some of the most beautiful sunrises you could see, but I am a little bias there. : ) Happy you liked this one Alexis.

I understand perfectly my friend there is something beautiful and magical In every sunrise...I for one am glad your window allows you to watch and inspires so you share those precious gifts with us. My skies are somber as they have been a lot this year so I love watching the rise through your window of words. Good morning Chris :) hugs

No one of sane mind should think such a thing. Your east facing window serves as inspiration to you each morning, and if it allows your pen to record it in verses, we all see through your window. Good morning to you, Chris.
