A sinner speaks

I am no saint
so please forgive
my soul’s taint
for I wish to live
with all my flaws
which I accept
but now heart thaws
wherein I wept
seeking to be saved
merged in God’s light
for he who misbehaved
had not clear sight
clouded by the ego
and bemused by thought
which I now let go
to become self-taught

So happy you enjoyed, Jay. I’m far from enlightened. In fact, enlightenment is not the attaining but the falling away of identity.

Dear US, Your poem bravely explores the journey of self-acceptance and seeking redemption. Your words convey profound honesty and humility, acknowledging flaws while expressing a desire for spiritual growth and clarity. The realization of letting go of ego and embracing God's light is beautifully articulated. What an introspective and soul-stirring piece. - Blessings, Daniel

Thank you, Daniel. If a past life regression is done, we would undoubtedly be horrified to see our actions in the past. Yet we can always transcend if we reform
