A sinner speaks
I am no saint
so please forgive
my soul’s taint
for I wish to live
with all my flaws
which I accept
but now heart thaws
wherein I wept
seeking to be saved
merged in God’s light
for he who misbehaved
had not clear sight
clouded by the ego
and bemused by thought
which I now let go
to become self-taught
