A Single Leaf...
In shadows, silent, dancing
Every color – burgundy, rust, gold dust
Reflecting the dew drenched morning,
Thoughts still, softest blessings beckon
Laughing, almost unknown,
Settling the hurried pace,
Graceful, like a whisper
Fading from the maple’s branch
A gentle leaf, quiet
Breathing hope and faith
In melodies, collected
By those who praise
A single leaf, glistening
Glowing like the thanks
Flowing from hearts,
Knowing that love grows
On the winds of peace,
Abundant souls, showing
Autumn’s serenity, blowing
Beneath the skies, alive
God’s song, all along
Proving darkness wrong
With the life’s calling
Beautiful stories, breathed
By a single leaf, a whispery breeze, autumn’s admiring
Praise comes – from the very trees who’re shedding summer’s prayers.
