A Silly Old Love Song

A silly old love song From a few years ago Touched every fiber Of my inner soul It described with passion How I felt at the time Things couldn't be better Everything was in rhyme But time isn't constant Things start to change Roles get reversed And our life rearranged The flame starts to flicker Then darkness inside Again we start searching For that magical ride Uncertainty reigns Our confidence shattered Things once important No longer mattered Until that new day When we feel it once more That touching of hearts Spirits that soar A silly old love song From a few years ago Once more touches My innermost soul
