A Short Fable

Flowers in the garden anticipated to see their friends.Honey bees entered first and collected nectars from the flowers. Humming birds waited for its turn. They also tasted the nectars and flew away. The flowers were very happy.

A squirrel watched this scene. It voluntarily enquired flowers."How are you so happy in giving, without expectations? I know the life spans of the flowers are short and you cannot get anything from them".One of the cutest flowers Hibiscus replied, "True friendship never expects anything in return.Humming birds and honeybees are my best friends. They are doing great job ,in order to protect this world.Yes,the world exists only because of my friends."

Squirrel laughed" Ha ha.Are you mad? You are trying to exaggerate your friends. They are the common creatures of this world.Of course they are somewhat unique. But I cannot accept your words".While hearing this the pink rose riposted" Have you ever helped strangers in your life? or at least have you helped your neighbours? The honeybees are doing it gleefully".

Squirrel astonished by hearing the pink rose's voice. It replied politely" Hey dear. I have never seen you speaking so aggressive. I am really sorry for libeling your friends". Now the hibiscus continued" No issues babe. We just want you to understand the truth". Squirrel was inclined to hear. The birds and other squirrels joined him.Now the hibiscus started telling about the honeybees.

"Honey bees are the only creatures in this world, that are sacrificing their whole life for the well being of others. They collect nectar from the flowers and transfer the pollen grains to other flowers. Thus the pollinations of flowers take place, that result in germinations. If the bees stop doing this, then there will be no more flowers, no more fruits and no more world.Prominent scientist Albert Einstein said,"If the bee disappears from the surface of the Earth, man would have no more than four years left to live." If the bees and humming birds can do such a great thing to the world, without expectations, why should not we play a small part in their action? They do not expect anything in return.Even though people knew the truth, they used to burn the beehives to get honey. But the irreproachable bees are doing their job and they never blame people for stealing their work."

By hearing this, birds and squirrels had tears in their eyes.Their ways of thinking have changed and started respecting the honeybees.

Never underestimate anyone
