A Shoe Eschewed

On his daily morning constitutional
Carter stumbled on an old brown shoe

Just one it was, and not a pretty sight
Weeds peered from it, smeared with blight

Carter picked it up, pondered a while...
Tossed it aside ~ last year's style

Bless you! (Your title sounded like a sneeze...) Wonder if this is what the Beatles were thinking of when they sang "Old Brown Shoe". Always love your word play, my friend.

Glad he picked it up that no one else shall stumble on it again! Interesting, Gershon :)

Ha, ha! Carter must have some kind of immune system to pick up a shoe like that! I certainly would have eschewed it. Cheers, gw

Carter’s not worried that it had no matching shoe, but the style didn’t suit him.
