A Shakespearian Sonnet For Gos

This day we come to celebrate a friend Whose absence we imagine not at all For comradeship like this should never end Though mighty stands the tree before its fall. Adventure seemed to be our daily fare For frequently our path was overgrown, With sturdy backs we leaned into each dare, And never dreamt of dreams without a moan. Oh seasoned friend, by harshest climbs proved true, May heaven grace the place you find your rest The wind be at your back through all you do For in my book you’ve aced out earthly test. If I should live until eternity There’ll always be a part of you in me. Brian Johnston May 30, 2016

A magnificent SONNET my friend... you couldn't have selected a better couplet ending. Perfect cadence and rhyme. Best wishes, Keith
