A Shadow of Two Hands

There you layed on the floor, we chose
different paths with one way doors...
Now in the sun is where you stand, a faded
shadow of our two hands..
What I write is what I couldn't say, now what
you read is just for today..
Two eyes that once saw the same view are
now so far away from what was once true..
Every wrong step I took taught me to dream wide,
to always believe and know we loved for the whole ride..

So many times we lose people close to us because our lives have taken different paths, Michael. I can feel the emotional charge in this poem very clearly. (I also just sent you a regular email.) I am going to write something for your contest. It's wonderful that you allowed a choice of forms. Thank you. Love and blessings always, Carolyn

This is really beautiful, Michael and I agree with Linda, love is a tricky business, I have something I should have said and never did, to my one true love and that I will share with you in my poem, I am sure it will take me to a deep place within ~~

luv is tricky and like a maze sometimes and all our life experiences in luv teach us and raise us to a new and higher level Michael..luv.. u seem to express that in this piece filled with shadows from the past.. we all carry them in the back of our minds and memories.. even in a little part of our hearts luv.. lovely emotion .. your J.G. is in thinking and fantasizing mode now..oh...

A deep thought you spilled in this poem, Michael. No regret though, It's a prove that you're a mature. Pleasure to read your poem, Dinda. :)

It is sometimes an eye opener to just indulge in things that were and to realise that love was always part of it.. Even if things didn't work out the way we hoped it would.. Really love this piece, can relate to it on some level.. Not sure if that is a good thing... Lol love Wilma
