A Sepia Sadness

edges a bit frayed, creases deeply set ....in sepia sadness limpid pools overgrown …in unkempt wildness reflect a subtle glow …of love’s permanence familiar paths slow faded …into now faces unafraid creases deeply set …in sepia sadness John G. Lawless ©1/15/2023

That's a fantastic title, John. Sepia tones of a colorless life.

Yes, sepia takes us back, to memories, perhaps of a different age. And yes, invariably sad and nostalgic. And sometimes fitting a mood - colour me sepia ! I once fitted out our bathroom in sepia - how sad is that ? Nicely written thoughts.
