A Secret Formula

Don't have any earth-shattering news
To pass along to my friends on the Soup
Same old nonsense just one day older
Trust me my mind's on overdrive
For an old duffer like me it's a big plus for sure
Most likely I'll go down in history
As a unique specimen of the human mind
No more advanced than the average joe
Guess it's all a crap shoot
No rhyme or reason just one of the lucky ones
If I could pass along the secret formula
Why would I keep it to myself
