Sixteen Beautiful Lines Poetry Contest

Love is found when least expected. … by poet Rudolph was strolling along a winding countryside lane, humming a love tune. The clear sky shone bright, and merrily bright birds were twittering as they flew from tree to tree, whilst a brook was bubbling as it wended its way to a river that flowed nearby. Still Rudolph was dejected. Love, alas, had passed him by. Nature failed to attract him. Despite his meanderings around the surrounding countryside, he had not found his soul mate to make his life complete. He was particular in his requirements, seeking perfection. Suddenly, he took a different path towards the wide river. Every time I visit you it seems you have romance on your mind, in your ink and, well, those places. Your poem is beautiful, Victor. On the 5th line down, I think you want an 'a' in front of river. He either found an angel or ate some hallucination causing berries. Thanks for reading me and missing me while I was temporarily busy with life. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Maybe...I pray for Rudolph, and all other potential mates temporarily alone. If the river direction doesn't do it, try the mountains -- but, as you say, keep trying.
