The minds assembled of the hard-edged kind 
Sidewalks teeming with gawkers curious, lined
up to witness a 'seance,' a freak show unprecedently cruel 
Would Helen Keller be maligned, now she's not deaf, dumb or blind

Helen Keller was a real inspiration. I remember, at age 10, seeing her on TV in 1960. I was amazed then and still am. Thanks, Andrea. And congrats to you on your winning entry. The Carpenters' song which you introduced it with also brings back many memories. Thanks, Gershon
