A Salute To Freedom and Friends

I dream........ Of my joyful friends and I, Jaunting under huge umbrellas. Laughing and going out for a pizza and chianti. The conversations bubbling as fresh espresso in a coffee brewer                 ~~~ We spoke freely on anything! There was no such thing as A politically correct nose-ring!                 ~~~      We, all of different colors and religions. Shared philosophy and ideas. And of lovers and our close friends. Lord, I miss those nights of such gallant and loving freedom! Now in my heart and memory, most eternally, they safely abide. Those special nights, beneath Chicago's star-studded skies. Even politically, we were not of one party. Lively discussions always, but with  respect and dignity. Isn't that how America should be?               ~~~ We spoke freely on anything! There was no such thing as a Politically correct nose-ring,                ~~~ Dedicated to Pete~ thanks for decades of friendship!                 12-27-2020
