At the shopping mall A sad scene is seen Sear's department store Is now no more

Darlene, you've awakened many a memory with these four lines. I worked for Sears (Golf Mill, Niles, IL) in the summer of 1970. What an enterprise it was back then. Interesting that I made $2.70 an hour + overtime back then...Minimum wage in 1972-3 was only $1.60, and then $1.90...Thanks, my friend.

Hello Gershon, Newfoundland is my favourite province. In my lifetime i have been there twice.My friend Shelia lives in Lady Cove.I have been writing her since 1980. Sears is gone now.I will be reading your poetry. Have a nice day my friend.
