A Rose How I Write Poetry

A Rose ( How I write Poetry) Thoughts line up using paper and ink, What topic should I use now let me think, Should I write about something in my past, Or should I think of other things so vast, Should I write of something that I know, Or imagine something above or below, Should I take an idea from a book, Or something with passion that has a hook, What vast ideas flow through my mind, Should I be stern, or should I be kind, What comes to mind when this pen is in my hand, Perhaps of the open sea, perhaps on the land, I want my poem to express what I feel, My thoughts go round and round like a wheel, This poem although it's hard to compose, This poem has left me thinking of a rose.
