A Rooster Crows
a rooster crows…
aroma of coffee
greets the sun

morning star
mirrored in the pond…
dawn drips with dew

as the sun rises
a jogger runs by my house....
I warm the doughnuts

I hear the shower
and someone singing opera....
the dog is barking

the morning paper
drips with last night's disaster....
I drink a fresh start
