A Romantic Rendezvous
Lovers on a romantic rendezvous
feel the Summer's heat ignite their desire.
And adding to feelings two hearts accrue:
fireflies and twinkling stars stoke Summer's fire.
Black-eyed-Susans, daisies, and wild roses,
fuel passion in a moonlit meadow.
And under Luna's glow, he proposes:
love, expressing his hopes for tomorrow.
Time suppresses all sound, but his heartbeat,
as he anxiously awaits her reply.
And down upon one knee in Summer's heat:
he spies the glint of a tear in her eye.
Yet, beaming with a jumping for joy smile:
she shouts out 'yes' while crying all the while.
