A River Flows
I vast in my aloneness
With a pen
At the end of my fingers
It moves to the direction
In which my heart speaks
Every word that is written
Leads me closer
To peace
They say it surpasses
All understanding
Yet sometimes the feeling
Is just too over-whelming
Silence knocks daily
In a world of chaos
Finding it’s way through
Yet we fail to listen
Again and again
To the sound
Of Nothing
Only to find the unspoken
To be true
So hear my words
I yield to speak
Find the meaning
Behind my soul
For the power within
Runs deep
A river of words
