A Requiem For the Fallen

A Requiem For The Fallen Mortals covered in scars, And disturbance is brought by wars, Time and time again, Throwing negotiations and peace to vain, Comes the hideous menace again to maul, Leaving but men and hope to fall, To their last breath they are filled with pride, “I was a part of my nation’s epic stride!” With these words true patriots fall, Only to rise to a place above all, A place much better than here, Where there is no war’s fear, To such braves who are lost to void, With all their dreams destroyed, Those who fall for us to live, I pay, to these martyrs of their motherland, All the respect I can, For this is the least one can do.
