A Reflective Point of View

The eyes are a two way mirror reflecting
whats seen
& behind their glassy stare many things
lay hidden
We're driven by these invisible things & are
passengers in a way
on a journey to self discovery
Recovery of our identity is imperative as it's
just one piece of the puzzle
in the narrative
Your story is written by the experiences that
interact with your being
& it's up to you how things are set at the end
of your days
This maze is an illusion as the straight & narrow
path is the only way
to reach the destination
The accumulation of experiences is what we
call life
so try to accumulate what you want
so everything goes right
Despite the appearance of things the ugly parts
of life are beautiful teachers
It's the ugliness that shows us how to be
beautiful in a vain world
that only values beauty
There's irony in this & we must iron out
the wrinkles internally
Don't seek shelter from the storm instead
convert the rain into steam
& train yourself to press forward
Sometimes we must go backwards to get
a better look
at the track that lay ahead
Hindsight is 20/20 if you adjust your
sights just right
& view things as if life is an
open book
Don't look for the evil in bad things
but see what good the bad
has to offer
Our perspective determines what's viewed
as bad in our lives
& sometimes perception can be
deceptive
Look at life as a mirror that shows you
what's hidden behind
the glass
& know it's always full & only
empty if you aren't receptive to
learning from the past
