A Red Rose Yearning For The Wild
I sit in a nursery rhyme
Red
A thousand times.
A pretty rose in a garden bed.
A child's incantation
My blossoms lighting up his face.
But I sit in damnation
Please, please take away from this place.
To a faraway passage off in the wild
With verdant grasses and sunshine.
Away from the eyes of a child
Where I can bare with others on the vine.
Take me, take me, uproot me now
To my angelic children, I now take a bow.
