A Reason To Smile
I awoke in the morn with the warmth of the sun
shining in on my face.
I had to smile , for the light and the warmth reminded
me of her.
I turned and my breath caught in my throat, for there
beside me , framed in the same morning light was
an angel in the flesh.
Could this be a dream or is this vision along beside me
truly real?
I can hear the intake of each sweet breath, I can feel the
warmth of her body 's closeness to mine.
I drink in the beauty of this woman next to me , I can almost
imagine the softness of her alabaster skin.
Finally i reach out and touch that angelic face, yes she is
real and i am blessed for she is mine
