A Rainy Day Decision
A dreary day? No not for me
A perfect day, for don’t you see
It’s raining out, no sun in sight
I’m staying in, and that feels right.
I’m lazy so I’ll remain inside
I am retired, so I can hide
In my warm bed ‘till after dawn
The smell of coffee cures the yawn.
With tablet, and my black ink pen
Poems may arrive, like way back when
The views were pure, the gems did flow
But now I’m spent, I struggle so.
The words may come…or they may not
And now I’m through, that’s all I got!
