A Quivering Heart

A quivering heart beats deep in my chest
I have a soul that will not rest
Until I save my damsel distressed
From the life that holds her repressed

Her love is shadowed with sorrow and pain
Her flower of life is feeling so drained
Her petals are dripping like tears in the rain
And her stem is bending from strain

I want to be the light of her day
The soft, gentle breeze that makes her sway
And pushes the clouds of her worries away
I want her to hear what I say

I want to stroke her soft, silky hair
And wipe away her deepened despair
To shine above her through unclouded air
And help her to know that I care

Rockman :-)

Impeccable rhyme and flow. " And pushes the clouds of her worries away" . Beautiful sentiment all the way through

THIS IS AMAZING, Rockman! To my favorites! How tender and sweet....Which flower wouldn't bloom under such care and devotion?

Just being there is what we want. How beautiful and touching. Love is the most powerful feeling there is and when given it can't be mistaken my friend.
