A Quiet Day
No walls to block my senses
Helps me to feel free from tension
Waves and sounds of the sea
Smell and feel of the breeze
Silence from the mountain tops
No distraction from my thoughts
This feeling cannot be bought
It has to be sought
Outside in nature is my goal
When I am feeling low
Peace I feel in my soul
Hoping my happiness will grow
Sunflowers everywhere
Just inhaling their smell
As I walk through the field
Feelings are being revealed
Sometimes I sit down and read
Feeling my heart has been freed
A release from all my need
No pressure to succeed
In nature God can be felt
Making me feel content
The beauty is overwhelming
The afterlife is foretelling
