Notes About The Poem

A Question of Love

Loves promenades towards emptiness
	longing is a void
darkness of a million universes
where mythical black holes
chant of timeless desires

Yearning for carnal eternity
where candles never die

Two of us
	never met
	oceans apart
	gasping for affections
	in different times
	winds may have swept
	this way or that
	never seen

Wind and candle lie in death
so lost
in emptiness

Achingly beautiful and brilliant is the depiction of intangible Love of the far distances! Untouchable Beauty, unattainable Love keep Life's mystery, flame and meaning going! A great deep poem Arthur! Enjoyed reading.. A FAV. Be blessed.

Arthur, A sad but lovely poem that expresses brilliantly the absence of love's tenderness. : )

Arthur, I can relate to the loneliness in this write. Sometimes it seems like ages since we've made a strong connection with someone. Having encountered so many wonderful people on this website, there are many I long to meet in person. Excellent writing, my friend. Hugs, Carolyn

That is a beautiful poem. I love that language of longing and yearning. "Lost in emptiness" would be a great title ;)

Beautifully sad, Arthur. Then not really because at least they found each other or made that connection. Real love is in the heart. The physical part is a choice. Really nice write:)
