A Question of Faith

How
can a
poet, one
who comprehends
the compulsion to
create; who mirrors grace
with the grace of words, lack faith?
The fact I would even need to
ask this question is, for me, more a
mystery than the existence of God.

I believe what i said about this poem, in the original comment still stands. Although today life is being tested like a rubber band, stretching and stretching.

I believe there are times we all question our faith, but being a poet, helps keep it in perspective. I still have my son and I still have my daughter, so I hope my faith will never waiver.

A puzzle indeed, Andrea...one I'm incapable of sorting out. Yes, good question...how can one not see God in the simplest of things is baffling. Awesome Etheree! Have a great weekend and may your inkwell never run dry, my friend! Love, Annalise

Hey, Love this much. I could read this to myself like a chant, though it supposed to stir things up, somehow this beaut brings me peace. I wonder what reaction my own entry for this contest will get? I went in a very different direction. I think yours will do awesome. I think (LOL) mine will be blacklisted. Hugs, from a Saucy friend

Fascinating, mystical work! Liked the way you used the form - it works! Just celebrating the Jewish New Year and have written a poem about it. Maybe I will post it soon. Love Matthew Anish

Hi, Andrea, Your e-mails must come through an area of PFT I don't know how to access. I've answered every e-mail that's come up on my screen. A question of faith. Yes, like looking up at the stars. Love, daver

Very profound Andrea! Insight is a gift from God. It helps to calm us when we feel odd. That man who felt pathetic, who when left alone with his thoughts became quite prophetic, keeps resounding the line, we'll all be fine. Soup Mail.

This superb poem goes to my fav, i think keeping the faith in todays world is harder than one imagines, the fact that you have written this wonderful poem, tells me, you are one hell of a 'human being' (Lady). Harry

"The fact that I would even need to ask this question remains a mystery"? This fact to me, means that God, of which is my existence, is still a mystery to the human concept. That my higher precept is not in command of my understanding yet. Am I getting your drift? Smile. Agape, Moses
