A Question Not Answered

You asked me why I Iove you

I love you as,
the suns rays
caress this morning
so gently,
that her tears are dew

as black
consumes my spirit,
a skein of velvet
shot bursts
illumination
my gift

and that,
without your swirl
I would have never shined

I’d have not discovered
love as
the siren or mermaid
never would I have felt your breath
in my hair

The shy wallflower
hiding like ‘wheres wally’
in a pot-plant
I was the closed
speck of a mouth
that seldom moved

but you caught my eye
held it in your hand
and refused to return my sight
till I saw myself as you did

ever special
ever precious
I saw myself through your eyes

you ask why I love you?

Say no more ... it ranges beyond the why ... and speak to the ontology of all being
