A Question

Nature asks us no questions, Beauty and Truth its source. Mystery within its reflections Awakens our souls of course. When the sun shines at dawn, We see, not hear, God’s voice. If a forest whisper is a fawn, Our hearts beat loving rejoice. Why may nature want to ask, When nature already knows. Why need set itself the task, When the bud to flower grows. We seekers remove our masks, To see what nature never asks.

Everything we write is a question. Once and a while we get lucky and write good ones. You did a great job with this poem. Best. Christopher

John I enjoyed this poem. As I was reading this poem, I felt like I was strolling in the woods.

'If a forest whisper is a fawn.' So many great lines in this sonnet, John! And that finishing couplet is the icing indeed! An absolute joy to read this one today my friend!
