A Purse With No Coins

A purse with no coins
     a sink with no drain
   Pants with no pockets
     flowers without rain

   Oceans without water
     winding roads with no end
   A world custom-designed
     to cultivate friends

My Muse is working even though it out all night partying. Muse must have drunk from the Fountain of Youth. ~ Jealous

Gershon, your thoughts are flowing with great ease....! The feeling of aridity and futility powerfully conveyed through apt images!

Thank you, Gershon. I liked all of your poem, especially the last four lines. How to win friends and influence people came to mind!

Gershon, I like your imagery. When you mention 'flowers without rain', I am transported back to the Arabian desert. Very dry, but still a few hardy plants managed to bloom.

Hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the enlightenment, Elizabeth!
